Planes, Helicopters & Go-Karts!

What a weekend! On Saturday, Landon started his day with a visit with Grandpa Wagner. Landon was so excited to give him a bird feeder to hang by his window. Then we went to the Air Force Armament Museum and he was in heaven. Planes & helicopters everywhere!!! He seemed to like the helicopters the most (Grandpa Wagner would have been happy about that!) but he was in awe of the size of some of the planes. It was so much fun!
Then on Sunday we went to Cousin Robbie's birthday party at The Track in Destin. The first thing Landon wanted to do was mini-golf since he knew that was fun. After that, we went and watched everyone ride the go-karts. Landon loved watching them so I suggested we ride. He was hesitant at first, but once we were strapped in and ready to go he was grinning from ear to ear. That was it... from that moment on we rode over and over again - 4 times in a row. He absolutely loved it!

Fever... or not?

OK... when Landon went to bed the other night he had a very high temperature. I was sure we would be calling the doctor first thing the next morning. I checked on him throughout the night and he still felt very warm. So, I was ready for the worst when he woke up. Surpise - he was fine and barely had a temp at all!!! He was bright eyed, bushy tailed and ready to play! I just don't get it. I was thinking to myself, "he wanted Mommy to stay home with him today, didn't he???" Then another surprise, later in the day his fever shot up again, although not too much. Anyway, he is fine now and we avoided a trip to the doctor's office but I sure would like to know what was causing it. My guess, fluid in the ear. It is so bizarre but just shows how resilient kids can be. I'm just happy that he is feeling better!

GOOFY GOLF

Another first for Landon - Goofy Golfing! Landon, Cathy and I went to the Track in Destin for some mini-golf and Landon loved it! He even got to pick the color of his ball (green, of course). He caught on quickly. He also learned that it was easier if he put the ball right next to the hole and hit it in. He had a great teacher in Aunt Cathy who got 2 hole-in-ones!!! Even though he enjoyed the golfing, I do believe the highlight of his day was riding the choo-choo train and the milkshake he shared with Aunt Cathy!

Rainy Saturday & Perfect Ears

Look Ma... No Hands!!!!
Cheese!!!!
Who says you can't have fun on a rainy day??? All Landon needs is a puddle and his big wheel! He patiently waits for the rain to stop because he knows he will be rewarded with a big puddle in front of our house. Then it is back and forth, back and forth. He loves it! Don't you love the photo.... look Ma, no hands!
We also got great news yesterday from Landon's ear, nose and throat doctor - his ears look perfect! After many ear infections and tubes it has finally paid off. His Daddy and I were thrilled to hear that his ears have healed and we don't have to plug up his ears everytime he was in the water (that included baths).

Trains & Wedding Bells

Landon's Aunt Amy was sweet enough to send us some new photos from the wedding. Thanks Amy!!!!

Landon traveled to Wilmington, North Carolina to see his Aunt Tobi get married last week. His Daddy said he had a wonderful time and was well behaved as usual. His Grandma Lynn got him this adorable white silk outfit for the occasion. Isn't it precious?? He danced, ate cake, and asked for the bubble makers off of everyone's table. And I know he got lots of hugs and kisses from his family while he was there. He also got to visit a train museum which I'm positive he loved. All in all a great trip!

Sheriff's Office Picnic

What a fun time!!!! The OCSO Annual Spring Picnic was held on April 6 and Landon had a blast! (So did Mommy!) He loved the bounce houses, slide, fishing pond and bubble machine. He even convinced Mommy to go down the big slide with him. Trust me, it didn't take that much convincing. He also loved the cookies! He was absolutely worn out (and filthy) by the time we got home. I believe he made some very special friends while there also. He certainly seemed to enjoy Mommy's friends and co-workers (who wouldn't???) Thanks to everyone in the OCSO family for the help with the picnic and both Landon and I are looking forward to next year. We can't wait!

This one is for Aunt Cathy

In about a month, a person very special to both Landon and I will be off to start a new adventure in Honduras - Aunt Cathy! Although we will miss her very much, we are excited about her new adventure with her wonderful husband, Ken. (What a hottie!) Both Cathy and Ken have touched our lives in so many ways and we will always be thinking of them!!!!

Lily & Lucy

Mommy's other two babies....Landon's sisters, Lily & Lucy!

HAPPY EASTER!

Landon had a great Easter! Not only did he get to color eggs and get great gifts from the Easter Bunny, he also got to go easter egg hunting with a bunch of very pretty girls (Thanks Ted!!!). He also found the grand prize $5 egg.

BOWLING

Landon went bowling for the very first time a couple of weeks ago with one of his best friends, Madeline. He loved it so much we went again last weekend with his Daddy, Gi Gi, Papa, and Cousins Ashley & Rae Rae! He really wants to do it all by himself. He is so independent (wonder where he gets that???)
