The middle of August and we now have our first storm forecasted to impact the Emerald Coast. Tropical Storm Claudette is headed our way and is expected to be mostly a rain maker. Tropical Storms really don't bother me. I suppose I have lived here longer enough, and experienced a few major hurricanes, that a little wind and rain just isn't much cause for alarm. Landon and I spent the afternoon on the beach, having some fun and watching the storm clouds roll in. We only encountered one brief rain shower while we walked the beach. But as soon as we headed in, the bottom fell out. We were able to find some sea snails and we spent and endless amount of time looking at each and every one of them, taking them out of the water and then putting them back. So, if this is the type of tropical activity we are going to experience on the gulf coast, I don't mind one bit! So, bring it on Claudette! We could use the rain!
